Large Magellenic Cloud details

This composite image of the Large Magellenic Cloud was formed by combining 8 colour exposures taken by Doug George using a Ceravolo 300-mm f/2.2 Maksutov-Newtonian telescope. The exposures were in 4 pairs, each covering one quadrant of the final image. The pairs were registered to each other and then the stacked pairs were registered and assembled into a mosaic using RegiStar. The image was then adjusted using Adobe Photoshop to produce the final result.
