This composite image of
the Pleiades star cluster was formed by combining 2 black-and-white
photos with a colour photo. All photos were taken by Rajiv Gupta
using a refractor. The black-and-white images were, respectively,
60- and 110-minute unfiltered and cyan-filtered exposures. The
cyan exposure captured the faint blue reflection nebulosity.
The 3 images were aligned by RegiStar, and then a composite image
was created using the Lab color model in Adobe Photoshop.
